October Waves of Relief
Roofing completed by group of Amish volunteers

Miss Hazel Tracey's house with roofing shingles applied by Amish volunteers just days after the Wayland contingent departed. All windows and doors are in place with a completely new roof structure. The project is awaiting inspection for electrical and wiring before sheetrock can be hung and other interior work done.

Across the street from Miss Hazel's is Miss Melanie's. This house was built from the ground (well, on pilings) up by the Wayland group led by Peter Bachman of Custom Designs in Wayland. More than 30 volunteers helped raise the structure. This week the Amish volunteers finished the roofing. This house also is awaiting inspections before more work can continue.
