Letters from Families -- with Photos!
April 4 , 2008 – WAYLAND, MA – The eighth family in the "Mission to Mississippi" – the Hughes (click here for their story)– has been moved into their house and the project has been declared done. Wayland to Waveland continues working on some small, select projects for people we've met in Waveland. And, the search has begun for future projects – although everyone is taking a deep, deep breath and some time to catch up.
The steering committee is reflecting on the project that built more than 10,000 square feet of living space in Waveland, MS more than 3,000 miles away, in only 14 weeks, for eight families. Truly, it touched and changed the lives of many hundreds of people. Congratulations and thanks are due to so many. And Wayland... everyone... you should take great pride in this and know that Waveland, MS has very high regard for all of us up here.
