Wayland to Waveland’s
‘Mission to Mississippi’
Day 57 -- Week 9

TUESDAY, DEC. 11, 2007 – WAVELAND, MA

Hi everyone,
Today was a change day. The painters left this morning after another amazing week, led by Gary Gallagher and the team of painters form Nazzaro Painting. The exterior of all 8 houses were completed by Friday noon. With 4 days remaining and their task complete what should they do? The painters moved inside and primed every interior wall and put the first coat of paint on the 4 Combel St. houses. AMAZING. Not only that, some of the painters went into the neighborhood and helped paint another house. Congratulations and kudos on another great week.

So, today, the interior finish carpenters arrived at noon and by 5 pm. 3 homes were completely trimmed with molding and interior doors installed, 2 kitchens were installed , vanities in 3 homes installed and by noon tomorrow all the trimwork on Combel Street should be complete. Most of the team will move to Maple and Taranto Streets followed shortly by the cabinet installers. WOW! What an amazing crew we have again this week.

We are into the ninth week of Mission to Mississippi and I believe that if we had the funds, these crews along with our incredible volunteers could rebuild the entire city. These talented people are focused on the task of the week and truly understand how and why we are here. Thank you everyone. Look for pictures of the work crews--right here!.
Thank you again for your support.
Cindy
