Wayland to Waveland’s
‘Mission to Mississippi’
Day 29 -- Start Week 5

TUESDAY, NOV. 13, 2007 – WAVELAND, MA

After a coastline tour, leaving memorable images of Katrina’s wrath within the minds of the latest crew to arrive in Waveland, the group made their way to the jobsite at Combel Avenue. Electricians and plumbers pounced on Combel’s four homes making extraordinary progress during the first day on the Gulf Coast. Big hearted professionals from Driscoll Electric, Northern Plumbing & Heating, Macrina Electrical, Uptack Plumbing, Darb Mech. Plumbing & Heating, Eric C. Foster Co., and Ken Vona Construction worked together like they have known each other for years. Even plumber Walter Sullivan drove over from Valparaiso, Florida to join his brother David Sullivan at the project.

Among the crew was Bob Vona. Bob beamed as he saw, first hand, the fruits of his son’s, Ken, hard work in helping to lead this Mission to Mississippi project.

The area’s weather continues to cooperate, though rain is less of a concern given the current inside work. The workers will remain at Combel tomorrow so feel free to check them out on the cameras.
